The Great British Baking Show: Walton Edition, Episode 51 – Pi Day

Welcome back, friends, to The Great British Baking Show: Walton Edition! I’ve got a lot of these articles to write, and very little time, so let’s get started. This week we celebrate Pi Day!

CHRIS: Blueberry Phyllo Tarts.

DAN: I think this was made of pears. I definitely remember it being tasty.

MARK: Lemon Chess Pie

MANDY: Mandy made this pie. It was made from ingredients, and tasted strongly of pie. It got a lot of votes. Congratulations, Mandy, on being this week’s Star Baker!

PI DAY, SECOND HELPING!: This lovely lady is Sophie, Dan & Mandy’s next door neighbor. Avid readers may recall that Sophie was one of the guest judges present for Friendsgiving 2019. While Sophie didn’t bake anything for our Pi Day celebration, she later shared with us a very special treat she made.

Sophie is an excellent cook, but had never before made a pie. For her first foray into pie baking, she not only made an outstanding streusel apple pie, she made a PERFECT homemade crust, and she was kind enough to share it with us. She even brought ice cream!

Thank you, Sophie, for sharing your excellent bake with us, and congratulations on entering the wide world of pie baking! In honor of your achievement, we are naming you an honorary Guest Star Baker! Until next time, bon appétit!
