Halloween 2023: October 18ᵗʰ – Star Tribe Halloween Figures

It has recently been pointed out to me that the reason I am somewhat socially isolated and miss fun daytime Halloween activities is that I work odd hours and therefore sleep even odder hours. Well, that is all true. And at the moment there is not much I can do about it. So if I can’t hang out with friends and loved ones during my waking hours, then I guess I’ll just have to build some new ones. Click the pic and watch me get my acrylonitrile butadiene styrene Frankenstein on!

Let’s start with the vampire. I forgot to check the package before I tossed it, but I wonder if these green pieces are glow in the dark.

These connected 1×1 round plates are new. I haven’t seen these before.

So I kind of jumped ahead and opened them all. You see this little claw piece on the pumpkin monster’s hat? If you look at where the claw goes into the hole, you can see the white stress marks caused by the claw not fitting properly. The instructions require you to damage the toy in order to build it. Shit like this – along with the poor fit of some of the pieces – is why some sets, like this one, do NOT Work With Lego.

Well, look who it is. My new Halloween crew! Meet Pumpkin Monster, Death, Jelly Man, Devil, and Vampire. And now, the Skull Of The Day…

It’s Skull! The sixth member of my new Halloween crew. Skull understands that some people have to work the graveyard shift. Skull doesn’t judge me.

I love you, too, Skull. Happy birthday, buddy. And happy Halloween.

Come back tomorrow for more Halloween treats!
