The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street

“There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices, to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy…And the pity of it is, that these things cannot be confined to The Twilight Zone.” – Rod Serling, March 4, 1960

Don’t Shut Up, Wesley

“At this point, and in any general election, really, the choice is very clearly between two people. One of them will be president, and that’s how it is. You may not like it, but you have a choice to make: are you going to be responsible and vote for the candidate who is closest to your positions? Or are you going to have a tantrum and support the candidate who we know will fight to undo everything you care about, just so you can feel smug and superior? I mean, grow the fuck up. Voting isn’t dating. Voting is taking the bus that gets you closest to your destination.”

The Great British Baking Show: Walton Edition, Episode 21 – Bread Week

Welcome, once again my friends, to The Great British Baking Show: Walton Edition! This week we got down to old school basics and tried our hand at the food upon which empires were built. That’s right, we returned to that most basic of baked goods, a yeasty treat that bakers have made for over 14,000 years. This is Bread Week!

Trans-vis Tritt

Best comment ever: “It’s like he went to Glamour Shots and said, ‘Give me the sassy cowboy!”’

Travis Twit apparently believes that Democrats made him look pretty, then spread his picture around. Because that’s on the Democratic to do list. That’s how important Travis Tritt thinks Travis Tritt is.

The Great British Baking Show: Walton Edition, Episode 20 – Anniversary Week

This week marked the one year anniversary of The Great British Baking Show: Walton Edition! On behalf of myself and all the other bakers, we thank you for your kind words of encouragement and enthusiasm, and for reading along with us on our cooking adventures. It wouldn’t be the same without you!

We’d love to hear your thoughts, and we welcome any suggestions you may have for our future bakes. In the meantime, we’ve done what all people deserve to do on their anniversary: we took a break and let someone else do the cooking! Thank you, unnamed baker who made this delicious chocolate ganache bombe. It was amazing!

Be sure to tune in for our next episode when we get way back to basics with Bread Week!

Until next time, bon appétit!
