It’s always disheartening to watch white people learn that thugs with badges who don’t recognize black people as humans are a very small step away from not recognizing white people as humans, either. It’s important that they learn this, obviously, but it’s disheartening to know that a year from now the lesson will have been forgotten, as it is every goddamned time.
