"You can't go around building a better world for people. Only people can build a better world for people. Otherwise it's just a cage."

Independence Day, Sci-Fi Guys style - Part II

07-07-07-fireworks-bizarre-02-thumbnail.jpgAlright, quick recap of Part I: To celebrate July 4th, I traveled to the prehistoric land of Indiana to shop at Trav's, where I bought a bunch of sci-fi fireworks and watched a family fall apart. I brought them back to Ma and Pa Sci-Fi's farm in Kentucky to blow them up. Then I got tired of writing and quit. This is where I start again.

Independence Day, Sci-Fi Guys style - Part I

07-07-07-fireworks-bizarre-01-thumbnail.jpgThis year I spent the 4th of July like a lot of other Americans did; in the theatre watching TransFormers. I am a Yankee Doodle Dandy, however, so my weekend was all apple pie and Uncle Sam. Click the pic to check out a bunch of illegal, sci-fi themed fireworks.

Finally, a place for all my ninja homework…

cover-thumb.jpgNothing screams "Hey, look, I've got a ninja folder!" louder than a guy who's screaming "Hey, look, I've got a ninja folder!" into a microphone plugged into a professional concert amplifier and output through a Cold War era air-raid siren speaker array. But if something were to be able to scream that as loudly, it would be actually owning a ninja folder for real. Well, color me a screamer, baby, 'cause I gots me a ninja folder! HELL YEAH!!

James Cameron’s 1991 Spider-Man script

cameron-script-thumb.jpgYou read that right. Back in 1991, James Cameron, notable sci-fi movie maker who wrote and directed The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The Abyss, and Aliens, took a stab at penning everyone's favorite webslinger. Eleven years later, some of his ideas made it into the first Spider-Man movie. Click the pic to read Cameron's vision for Spidey.

Chris loves Spider-Man KLIK candy “dispensers”

spider-week-klik-frame.jpgCandy dispensers my ass. These things dispense candy in exactly the same way that an AK-47 gently tosses bullets to its targets. These are like Pez dispensers for Smarties, only replace the words 'Pez dispensers' with 'rocket-powered skeet launchers.' They're fantastic. Click the pic to come in and check 'em out in action.
