Chris welcomes the newest Sci-Fi Guy to the family
Happy Birthday, Evil-Lyn, and welcome to planet Earth! Direct from the passionate, juicy loins of Dan and T.H.O. Girl comes the newest Sci-Fi Guy, little Evil-Lyn. She's 7 lbs., 11 oz. of sugar, spice, and everything nice, plus she had the good taste to be born with a name that sounds like Skeletor's woman. I love this kid already.
SHORT STORY: After she told me they were going to induce, T.H.O. Girl called me "Uncle Chris" on the phone yesterday. As soon as she said it, I got that warm, squishy, kinda gooey inside feeling. You know, the one girls get right before they cock thier head to the side with puppy dog eyes and say "Aawwww…" when something touching happens. All my research shows me that this feeling is something women refer to as affection - a chronic, highly emotional state during which one is predisposed to making excessive displays of kindness, gentleness, compassion, and generosity. I understand that females treasure this affection. As you wish, since you deem it of value. But I'm a man and I don't like it. It makes me feel all funny.

I'm going to go see T.H.O. Girl and the baby now and study this "affection" phenomenon. I'll report back to you men on my findings as soon as I compile my data. Live long and prosper.
God DAMN it feels weird to post something this short. Here's a great big Evil-Lyn picture to make me feel better:

She’s the cutest baby I’ve ever seen.

Cute as a button, is she not? This is litte Evil-Lyn. I got to hold her for about half an hour. At about 12 hours-old, she was the youngest baby I've ever held. Smallest, too. Her skin is so soft, its kind of unreal. She likes to be held, and only got fussy when she was put down. Well, that's not true; she also got fussy when Dan decided to put a lil' gangsta skullcap on her. She was not amused.
Speaking of not being amused, T.H.O. Girl is going to kick my ass when she sees that I've posted this pic, and she's probably going to kill whomever took it. I've heard of postpartum depression, but T.H.O. Girl was struck with postpartum narcolepsy. This picture was taken during the middle of a conversation that she was actively involved in. She kept apologizing for being sleepy, but after carrying around a baby in her belly for months on end, I'd say she's earned her rest.
Here she is with Aunt K-Dizzle. You see that pissed off look on Evil-Lyn's face? Amplify that by about 10 times and you'll get an idea of what she looked like when Dan tried to make her wear a hat.
