This is one of the best episodes that we have put out to date I think. This is due, in no small part, to the time and effort that Quentin put into the graphics and special effects. The light saber work is awesome, the effects are great and the opener is the BEST!
On another note I can’t get enough of that CAN guy that you all got from the internet…he’s awesome! Someone track him down and interview him for this show.

What are the chances you guys will get Q-ball to post the shows on the website so people can stream or download them?
I don’t know what your hosting storage/bandwidth situation is so I was just curious.
Hey here’s an idea, if I get hooked up with the public access in my area, panama city florida, you guys could send me a copy of each show and I can rebroadcast them here in Panama City.

Kevin, if you go through the classes (should only be like one or two) then you can sponsor a show - hell yes, I’d love to see some cross-state distribution!
And I have actually looked into having the website on the server - I need some special software to stream it running on the server that I’m not sure either how to set up or if I’m even allowed. Rest assured, it’s on my ToDo list. (A mighty huge list!)
Thanks for the props Mark. As far as the Star Wars Kid, I’m not too keen on trying to interview him since he and his mom tried to sue everyone associated with putting the video on the web in the first place - that and some issues involving a donated iPod mini and somesuch. I can’t remember anymore, but there was a lot of backstabbing and general whining that went along with this kid.

To tell the truth I am having a hard time just finding out how to go about contacting the “public access people” in my area.
After several days of google searching website reading and talking to 2 people who do “wrastlin tv shows” they say that each of the two cable companies have their own public access criteria and they are not sure how to contact them.
Though they said it is nearly impossible to get anything aired on ComCast public access that is not religous or affiliated with military life.
I am a little crestfallen at this point.

Nah, by law they have to offer you access to the equipment and access to a time slot in your area. You take a couple classes and as long as it’s not offensive or indecent, they *have* to put it on the air. Call your cable company (one or the other) and ask for the community access numbers… or public access… or whatever they call it in that area.

Is it possible for you to burn the shows on a DVD and mail them to me? I’d love to see them!

We’re working on that now actually. It’ll probably be about two episodes per disc, but there’re a few “glitches” I’m trying to work out before I get those out the door. Expect them within a couple of months though.

Sweet, I’ll take another stab at it.

Kevin,
How goes it in Florida? This is Chris, with the Sci-Fi Guys. I am the creator of the show, as well as the executive producer and the director. You have somehow noticed our little website, and have left us many posts which makes me very happy deep down in my warm squishy places. I do not normally check the site for posts on the grounds that I am lazy and uncaring, but I was poking about on there today and, lo, I came upon your posts. THANK YOU FOR POSTING!! I feel like we have a fan, and near an ocean, no less. That’s top shelf, my friend; ALL the fly sci-fi honies are gonna be beating down our doors now. One at a time, ladies, there’s plenty to go around.
In any case, I’m truly sorry to hear that its so hard on you to get your own cable show, but DO NOT GIVE UP. Yes, it can be a pain, and yes, it will be tiresome at times, but it is totally worth it. I hope that you can get your own show rolling, but if you can’t, then send us here at the Sci-Fi Guys a 28 minute episode, and we’ll put it on the air. It may not be local exposure, but I truly believe that a broadcast anywhere is loads better than a broadcast nowhere. Good luck, and let us know if you need any help.
Rock out with your Spock out,
Chris

Okay.
Don’t ever say “Rock out with your Spock out” again.
This, I command.

I thought that was great”Rock out with your Spock out”.
That’s easily just as good as my “Do or do not, there is no spoon”.
I finally did find the phone number for the public access here.
But everytime I call I just get an answering machine.
So I imagine they don’t check it very often.
I’ll have to actually leave a message sometime and let em know I want to talk to someone.

Thanks, Kevin. Actually, I’m in the middle of writing a song called “Rock Out With Your Spock Out” and its one of my favorite songs of the ones I’ve written. Its an AC/DC pastiche, so not only will Quentin hate the title, he’ll hate the song, too.
I’ll put it on disc and send you a copy if I ever get around to recording it.
